mixing the wheels across different vette generations is a
just my little opinion....but do what you want.
I agree to a point, BUT the latest wheels on the C6 and C5 look so generic, that they'll look good on nearly anything. There's nothing HIGHLY distinctive about the skinnier 5-spoke wheels. The wagon wheels are very distinctive and the Z06 wheels stand out, but the 5-spokes...they look plain. Cool, but plain.
I have C5 polished 5-spoke wheels on my Camaro, and they look they belong on that car. No C5 emblems on them, either.

I hear a bunch of people say this and I don't get it. I have seen a couple of C4s with Z06 wheels that looked great. Its not like sticking an LS1 in a Mustang (though it'd be a major improvment ). They are all Corvettes, and the C6 is barely a different generation no matter what GM calls it. Definitely not like the C4 to C5 change, or C3 to C4 for that matter.
Would I be better off getting the C6 wheels in 17 and 18", or 18 and 19"?
If I go with the larger size front and rear, do I have to do anything else to the car. Is there a downside to going with the larger wheels?
Those wheels look awesome on the C5, I'm going to get them!
There are always trade-offs when moving to a larger tire and wheel package. You may gain some handling but you will need to plus size the tires to keep the same outter tire diameter so your speedo and active handling are not affected. A lower tire sidewall height usually yields a bit harsher ride. I personally love the C6 wheels and think they would look awesome on the C5. In addition to OE Concenpts, BJ's Chrome is also planning to sell the C6 style wheel. If it were me, I would be inclined to go with the 18 and 19 setup.
