Hi guys, I'll be getting my fully loaded (no CD) black on black 99 this sunday and I'm already looking up mods . I saw this on somebody's car elsewhere and i liked it a lot so I looked it up.
I was wondering if anyone has this kit, and if they like it, and how well does it hold up? And while i'm at it what other mods to you guys recommend right of the bat, as of right now the car is totally stock. And I'd like to keep the deck stock but i'm a bit of sound enthusiest and probally need to do some serious rebuilding of the stock sound system before long....
I had it on my last vette and liked it. One thing I didn't care for was the steering wheel decal, it's a bunch of little pieces. In the new vette I have the autobuffs decal on the wheel and it is much better.
I have the ones that you can get from Vette Essentials. I like them better because they have the ones that have the interior color around the flags. Plus they take good care of you. I have a mag red 2001 with oak interior and I got the flag kit with the oak around the outside. Looks great to me. However they do not carry the letters for the airbag console.

I've had the CAU doorsill and steering wheel decals for sometime ... they have held up well.... your first performance mod should be an air intake most cost effective mod dollars you will spend.... Blackwing or Stinger get a lot of support....
The passenger airbag decals from CAU are great! Look sharp! I also got the $12 letters for the font plate cover and rear panel. I wanted to check out the look before going for the $140 F/R raised letter sets.
I'd go to West Coast Corvette for the steering wheel and door sill decals. They use the accent colors for the ring of the emblem. The CAU decals for those areas aren't as nice - no ring color on the steering wheel and black ring for sills - no winner. Sorry, no pics...just another opinion!
Good luck - you're gonna have a blast modding your new baby!

I have that exact CAU steering wheel "set" (didn't do the door sills). Although it takes some attention to detail when applying, I especially like the fact that it consists of individual pieces that go in the inset areas of the crossed flags. If you prep properly and use tweezers, it looks just like it was painted on from the factory. It seems to be holding up well too.
I have the CAU airbag lettering kit and like it a lot. It is holding up very well.
I just got a new one-piece steering wheel decal from WCC and like it a lot more than those that are tiny pieces. It's a quality decal that really fits well and looks good.

I have this kit and it looks very good on the car. Mine has held up very well. Takes a little time to put on - just be sure the area is clean before you put the decals on.
As far as mods, consider items such as a Blackwing air intake, cat back exhaust, maybe new wheels or interior components. Many things to choose from.
