I happen to like my auto this time around (taller gears also help!! ). My last two Vettes were manuals and being in the real estate field, it easier to drive and talk to clients!

Someone asked about the headlights, I believe they are from Breathless performance and run around $1k. I've seen some actually paint part of the inside to match the color of their car.

Bored .060 over to raise the stock 400 displacement to 413 cubes, ported heads, ram air IV camshaft, higher compression pistons to raise the compression to 11:1, 2500 rpm stall converter, 3.90 rear end ratio, full long tube headers into a complete flowmaster exhaust system, finished off with an agressive tune of both the carburetor jets and hei ignition curve...I had both my firebird and my '01 vette for a few days while waiting for the firebird's new owner to pick it up (sold one to buy the other, needed a more practical car), and when I stoplight raced the bird vs. my dad in the vette it wasnt even close...Dead even until the firebird hooked and at that point the bird beat the vette like it was standing still...That answer your question??? Looks like your lame attempt to call me out backfired, so don't call me a troll without having the slightest idea what you're talking about

A 400 inch Pontiac with a RAIV cam is hardly a "fast" car. Get a grip he-man. Maybe daddy was driving a 2.73 geared c-5 and was afraid to hurt jr's new car.

Haha hey genius, the C5 is my car too, and if you read what I wrote, you'd realize that I sold the firebird to buy the C5...I just had both cars simultaneously for a few days while completing the sale of the firebird...And btw the '01 is a 6 speed w/ the same 3.42 rear that all 6 speeds have...I would say that quickly pulling 3-4 car lengths in a street race (0-70ish) on a stock '01 vette that I've since gotten to run 8.5 @ 85 in the eighth constitutes a pretty fast car...And of course my dad pushed the vette hard because the whole point of our friendly race was to settle our curiousity about just how much faster the firebird was...Geez at least READ my post before you try to trash it...
