I have nightmares about having my car spread over the floor and can't get it back together again. That's one of the big reasons I didn't install the CLB (until I found out that I didn't have to); that part in the instructions about it being difficult to put that right side panel back on.
In my youth, I took apart lots of things on my cars...and Mr. Murphy always showed up. Today, I live by the old saying about fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Cars from the 70's, 80's and even some 90's models fit that profile. I'll say again, the General out did himself with the way the car came apart and how easy it looks to go back together. I have over 50 hours in this project so far (yes, I'm nuts) but I've only spent 4 hours on disassembly and that was by far the easiest part. With painted parts, reassembly will be slow, but I don't expect it to be very hard at all.
Right now, I don't think I'll be ready for paint on Sunday. I may have everything ready for paint by Sunday afternoon and if I'm tired, I'll probably hold off painting until Tuesday. Painting a candy color leaves no room for error, so it's best to be rested, fresh and ready to go.
Here's on more pic of all the parts I have 98% ready.

I'm sure it'll look great after you get finished and I really do wish you the best with your project. I'm just not up to spending a week with my car in pieces and me wondering where this doohicky went. Guess I'm gettin old!
I'd be lying if I said I was having a blast. I severely underestimated the amount of time this project would take. I completely forgot about the speaker trim and that was 6 hours, another forum member led me to believe you could remove the vinyl on the lower door panels and sand the plastic quickly so instead of 2-3 hours, I have almost 16 hours in them (of course I decided to delete the reflector and that has certainly added some time) and they're still not ready.
Oh well, back to work, hope to get 8-10 hours in today.
