Default Best tire patch kit and compressor?

I am going to go to non-runflats. What is the best patch kit and small compressor to carry in my C5?

I bought a tire patch kit from Griot's Garage in a real handy canvas bag for about $15 (alas - it was a discontinued item) and a Campbell-Hausefield compressor from Wal-Mart for $9.95 that plugs into the 12v cigarette lighter.

So I have about $25 tied up. I added a pair of Mechanix-Wear gloves and some other stuff like a couple of rags, and a kneeling cloth.

The kit had a pliers, two augers to insert the plug, plugs and a grease pencil. I also carry a digital air pressure guage.

Thanks for the info. I will start to shop for the items you mentioned. Much appreciated.

Wally World compressor (that I have used a number of times just to make sure it is working), digital air gauge in addition to the car's tire pressure monitoring system (so it can be filled at a stop).

I too bought a Campbell-Hausfield compressor from Wal-Mart (I think it was about $20) and a Victor patch kit from there also.

Keep in mind if you have tire pressure monitors and you use the spray in tire patch it will ruin the monitor. That is why I have stayed with runflats (Firestone Firehawks) and I am very happy with them.
