With heads, cam then headers my favorite Touring got just too loud. Went to Z06 Ti and it was too quiet. Magnaflow is good.
I do not think you will hear enough diff between Indy and Touring.

No resonance with what I am using which is the 2 1/2" Magnaflow U type muffler. No resonance, as in none like the TIs not like no resonance as with Stingers. If you get my drift. I talked to LAPD and they said Magnas had slight resonace but even when I try to induce it I can hear none. Headers make the dif?
The Magnaflow is undoubtably too quiet for a stock car and quieter than a Touring. I would say it is deeper in tone than either and 25% louder than a Ti >3500 rpm. It is in this range where the difference between Indy and Touring is slight.
Magnas would likely be ok w/o cats as well I think.
I have been around the block on this exhaust game (5 dif with last Tis) and for where my mods are now I am finally happy.
I agree Tourings are great on a stockish car. The issue is that they get very loud on a head, cam and header car (with X pipe). Guess they flow very well.
I have been through the transition.
