Found the oil on the floor this morning. Looks like its coming from the top of the rear end. Oil on the top of the exhaust where the over the axle bend is at, running down. I thought that the seals for this were updated. Just not sure that its the seal yet. Anybody else with an 04 have this happen? Got underneath after driving to work "AGAIN", and found no oil on the shaft boots, maybe its from the gasket, I doubt that its from the vent as I have 10k on it and no other leaks until now.
Oh well, I guess the honeymoon is over.

The seals were updated and put into production in 2003.The rear differentials continue to leak even with the updated seals.Late 2004's even have the sealer on the covers as described in the TSB,and they continue to leak.It is a casting issue that GM has claimed to have fixed on the C6

I'm pretty sure I have the same problem. I have 2 spots on the garage floor I noticed over the last few weeks. My 04 CE vert. has 3500kms on it.
I contacted the only local dealer allowed to do warranty work on vettes and set an appt. to have it taken in and repaired. I had read a list of service bulletins on the 04 vettes and this one is listed.
Had my vette for 2 months now and the rear has been leaking for about half the time, goes in tomorrow for the rear leak and the recall notice on the bolts and washers on the front end. Wonder what kind of car they will give me to drive. hope its something nice.
I have had my 2004 CE Coupe fixed 3 times for this. At 2000 miles, and twice at 4000 miles. Seems to be OK now at 5000+ miles. We'll see.... The dealership was aware of the TSB and has been really good about taking responsibility to get it right. I know they were frustrated with the problem too.
