By the way...
On my way back from work yesterday, I got CHALLENGED by a rather healthy sounding stang at a light. He asked if I wanted to run. Well the bad boy in me said wtf, I might win, might not. Then from the heavens came a light and told me what to say. I asked him what he was running,
"a 302 with modifications", the cam lobe alone was enough to tell that!
Any way, I told him no, I dont race my car. Then I suggested in so many words,that if he had to highly modify his car to race a basically stock C5, then he needs to reevaluate his investment. Well I guess I hurt his feelings, he left the light in kind of a hurry. Thats one thing that I am having a difficult time with is to modify or not. Once the headers, cam, heads, etc. start, where do you stop, how much is enough? At least when all you do is let the engine breath better and the rest is stock, not many other "stock" cars can touch me. And that folks is what the Corvette has that others dont, pass them with CLASS!
