I am in the market for a partition but not sure wich one to get, are some better than other in the sense of getting rid of most of the resonance??? or are they all the same, I know some look really nice but do they all do the some job?
Get the $99 foam one from Eckler's. It is high quality, matches the interior carpet perfectly and press fits into place. The sound difference is dramatic. Plus it only weighs 3 lbs.
The pleather on one side, and the carpet on the other, 0.75 inches thick MDF board (very solid wood)(Same wood made from high end speaker enclosures).
I have the B&B Twin Tip Bullets. They are LOUD ! I was extremely impressed with how it reduced the interior resonance. My wife was too !
The fit and finish were top quality, and seller even emailed me to make sure I liked his product after the sale! It looks like it belongs in the car. It does not look like an aftermarket part (big plus for my taste). The side facing the driver is a perfect match (pleather). The carpet on the trunk side is almost a perfect match.
I would buy from him again in a second..... $150 shipped to my door. No tax or no shipping charges.
I also hear that Andy has a great product. I have no experience in his partitions though.
i was going to build my own partition, ended up buying andy's partition with the plexi-glass (machine silver) insert and threw on a Z06 emblem. this thing looks awsome.

Looks like mine except I havent put on my emblem yet...waiting to carry my CE stripe over to it.
I bought the foam from ecklers for $50. This winter I'll cover it with something to spiffy it up. I also put a lloyds 'vert cargo mat in and the sound level is better than my coupe.
I wanted something that, in the event of an accident, wouldn't come flying up to meet me that might hurt
If you want the best, go with Andy Mages at Z06parts.com. I have the red plexi insert, but chose to go with the C5 "waterfall" emblem - same as what's on the trunklid. I thought it filled-in the insert area a little nicer, but that's a totally subjective deal. Fit and finish are impeccable, and Andy is great to work with!
