[Z06] Z06 vs. C6

I`ve said this before. For the money this is one hell of a car, and i have no regrets !

I'm a PERFORMANCE guy first, a gadget guy second. So spending $15K to $17K more for a car with less performance just didn't make sense - to me.
Now when the new Z hits the streets that's when I move to the new Z. For me performance is what matters most not excuses.

With only 1100 miles on the Z06 I'm not yet qualified to make specific comparisons other than to say it makes power in the same scarry & fun way the big block did in a far more refined automobile.
Very glad I bought this car.
Don't care about the new one.
For me and my Z06, the resale price has taken a drop. However, the value of my Corvette is in the driving, the associations with other Corvette owners, and in having one of my dreams come true. The value is still there, every time I get behind the wheel.
In the end, there can be only one... and the one is Corvette.

WEll said, I felt compelled to qoute you again
This will also hurt GM in the end because lowering trade in prices hurts their new car sales. I am not sure what they were thinking.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I just wanted to say how GLAD I am to see the new C6 prices on Ebay. The But It Now prices are mostly in the $54k-$60k range. After seeing an '04 Z06 with 1100 miles for sale for only $38k (private owner on the Forum), I about puked. We're talking about a difference of roughly $20,000 if that owner wanted to sell for a new C6!!!!!!!!!!
As bad as the Corvette resale is, I have to believe these high C6 prices will keep up the used Z06 prices for a while. My worry is the ones who are "dumping" their Z06's for the C6 and killing the resale. Personally I couldn't imagine spending another $20k or so to sell my 2,000 mile Z06 for a new C6.
Anyway, just wanted to chat about it...

I just can't see myself spending $20K for LESS hp and performance-JMHO.
I think if you LIKE the body style of the C6-go for it, anything one REALLY likes is worth every penny
50th anniversay, 405hp, (only 1979 made in red)
At least that's what I keep telling myself...lol
Mine's definitely a keeper, 4012 miles and still stock

Man, that was right on the money. Couldn't have said better, so I won't even try.
I will say this. In this day and age of troubled borders, paying for illegal Aliens healthcare, soft on crimminals and miles of hatred against good solid American ideology, it's refreshing to have the Vette an American car Icon and all the many who pay homage, it's fan base.
Along with a good hamburger, all the trimmings, some fries and a coke, the Vette my friends is one true, I mean true hard core American muscle car with heart that you just can't get in any import.
We perform to the max over in Iraq and around the world for folks who I don't think even get it. Most I assume are jealous of our way of life and opportunity. Enough politics for me, sorry, I'm outta here.
Amen, to our beloved heros and comrads abroad, God bless them and protect them.
As our local Vette nut comrad duly noted in the quote above. "The Legend Lives". It surely does!
