I read somewhere that a guy actually lost HP after installing a dual inlet
set up. They theorized that the air entering from 2 sides caused turbulence resulting in loss of power.

I took a look at this, but then researched the customer feedback/comments made about that vendor and decided not too..I think you are talking about the chrome dual intake,,looks cool, but I also heard that besides turbulance, the chroome can actually heat the air up. I wouldn't purchase that,, just my 02

They're more for looks than performance.
