Steve - you could have your stock rims chrimed but then you have to deal with the down time and shipping hassles. I would opt to go with an exchange program from Mid America or West Coast Corvettes. You purchase the chromes and they ship to you. You have them installed and then repackage your original wheels and ship back to the vendor for a core charge refund. No down time for your Vette and you also get a 3 yr warranty.

what I did to prevent downtime, paying shipping and handling, and paying mounting/balancing, etc...
I called the GM dealers in my area and found the shop they get chrome wheels exchanged at. I got my set over three years ago exchanged and installed for $700 cash. BOOM!

Yes you can, but it would be easier to just buy a set of rims already chromed. Some of the forum vendors have great prices on these.
