Installed it went smooth, baby drove it for 40miles got on it a little for a few miles **makes things sound different in a good way ** anywho, went to a local pizza place, came out started the car and now have a check engine light on, everyone is attached correctly and what not?? Anyone else have this issue and how long will it take to Calibrate to my engine?

I've heard several opinions on how long to retrain for the new airflow (100-200 miles). I hope someone can chime in with more specific numbers. As for your check engine light, did you reinstall the "gray pin" into your MAF sensor plug? I hope it didn't come loose.

Check all your connections and make sure you have a nice airtight fit!

You shouldn't have the check engine from the Blackwing. Something is not right with the install. Recheck (remove and reconnect the electrical connecters). Make sure the intake is tight.

Could just be you have something else wrong with the car. Get the code scanned at auto zone to find out what it is.

Check the codes and tell us what comes up. That'll give you a better idea on what's the problem. While holding the option button, press fuel 4 times. For more info on how the codes work, use the search feature. Tell us what you find.

Did not have any codes thrown with my Blackwing install. Recheck your hose connections to make sure they are air tight. Good luck.

I had codes pop up after my Blackwing install. It ended up being that the hose from the Blackwing to the throttle body had come off slightly. I tightened it and never had another code.

This can help....but it's still all "technical" to me...

http://97vette.com/howto/codes/index.html

"H" at the end means "Historical" and I believe "C" means "Current".

I just followed this link Service manual and couldn't find P0111 but I did find P1111 and P0112 which both relate to the IAT sensor, I didn't see what year car you had and if your IAT sensor is seperate from the MAF or not but you may want to check it out

I just ran the code check on my car I bought last week. Is it normal to have about 12 codes in history for a 2001????

As long as none of them are current, I can erase all of my codes then come back an hour later and have 3 or 4 show up for communication between modules

Contact Evil-Twin. He may have a solution because he is one of THEE men, when it comes to this stuff. Good luck. BTW, I had heard of similar issues, but not with BW. I would think that once the oil gets into the system, it may take a while for the light to go out. Ask E-T. Good luck. Keep us posted.
