im looking at a 2000 convertable 6 speed dark red, black leather, 20k miles. has 6000$ of motor mods(cams, rockers, exhaust, headers, intake , etc) but the only bad thing is that the car was stolen (interior, body panels)in georgia and recovered it got a georgia salvage title, it is now in florida and has a clean florida title where i live. what would this be worth? im looking to buy it asap if everything is good on price. please help a fellow vette owner.

Personally - I'm always suspicious of cars with "questionable" backgrounds like the one you describe. Realize that if you ever want to sell this car, and someone else runs a Car-Fax on the car, they'll reveal the salvage title. Salvage title is always the "mark of death" and just about guarantees the car will sell (if at all) at a greatly reduced price. If you don't care - I'd just make darn sure that the car is 100% mechanically - take it to someone that knows Corvettes and have them inspect it.
You didn't say how much - but unless this car is REALLY cheap, I'd continue looking! Good luck!

Walk away unless you plan on keeping it forever. There aren't many people out there willing or capable (banks frown on loans for cars with salvage titles) to buy any car with a salvage title.
Sent you an email anthony! Pretty much agree with the folks here, by the way he told me they were asking 26k. You should be able to find a nice clean title for that price!
I realize my friend that when the "Vette Bug" bites it's hard to walk away from one. For the 26k I think you could do much better. I just shudder at the thought of a salvage title, and one can only imagine how it was treated by the richard-head that stole it. The choice is yours of course, but a word to the wise should be sufficient!

If they want $26K for that car, keep looking. There are plenty of nice examples out there that do not have the bad background of this one. Good luck with your decision.
i would stay away from a salvaged vehicle. Period. The unknown history is not worth the risk...however, I am in Jacksonville and can look at it for you if you negotiate a better deal.
