Default Headlight Bulb Upgrades

I was wondering what is the most popular bulb upgrade for the C5 and where to purchase ...

Also, if headlight bulb is upgraded to the superwhites, is the fog lights upgraded as well to match color intensity ?

I put is some Sylvania Silverstars - a definite improvement over stock. Much whiter light, but my truck still has better stock headlights than this. Maybe the E-code lamps are in order?

Those bulbs suck. Way over priced and you will be replacing them every other month.

I got a pair of 9005s and a pair of 9006s for under $60 delivered, that's total cost. Not overpriced where I bought them. And I don't believe that they failing in 60 days unless there's something like grease, fingerprints, sweat, etc on the bulb surface

This is what I love about this forum.. there are so many opinions on the same product, from it sucks to it is wonderful... which tells me the information on this forum sucks and is wonderful. New people on the forum should be told this.,..I usually watch those mods that poeple post "WOW" too.. only to see a few months later that they are selling them, and after so many people get disappointed by a product, only some members with ***** are willing to say so.. but most just coware away refusing to say they fuxxxxed up... I have some background in automotive engineering, enough that GM gave me a pay check for 20 + years... I look to this as entertainment now, see all the BS that some of these people looking to be heros post in this forum.. There are a dozen or so smart automotive people here in the C5 forums trying to help others and there are a couple a two three dozen BS artist... the rest are just trying to learn and get help.. unfortunatly the BS artist far out weight the people who have some background... there are some very smart C5 techs here and few automotive engineers, a few real DIY mechanics plus the professional tuners, vendors, and mechanics.. so choose who you want to listen too.

From personal experience I recently installed the HID "look" bulbs from corvette garage (see their ad on the forum) which gave me a nice bluish color to my lights which look nice to me. Some might say "rice" rather than nice, but it's up to the driver!
As far as the brightness level, it is still so so. No worse or better than the stock bulbs IMHO. For the fogs, I found I could buy blue bulbs from Ecklers (which I haven't done as of yet). Hope this helps some. I only like to speak from personal experience to avoid the BS Evil-Twin mentioned. Just a humble vette mod enthusiast!

Do a search for HID's. Banks and Rev Xtreme.

I think they are the best I have had so far.

Can anyone provide me with the bulb type (number) that goes in the small round fog lights on my C5?

Thanks!

Default NAPA bulbs

I tried many different Xenon Blue bulbs that
I found on EBAY and they were too blue and
not that bright. I went to NAPA AUTO and got
their BRIGHTLITES brand and it was a definite
improvement. But the end result is never what
you are hoping for. Its almost a waste of time and
money. If you want good headlights get a C6.
