I once had a girlfriend that said guys who own Corvettes, or any type of performance cars were compensating for a small "unit", to use her exact words. Well in my case she may have been right, but I'm sure that isn't true with every Corvette guy.

Small "unit" or not, owning a Vette sure is better than not owning one

Rumors like this get started by Jealous Wives and Girlfriends. I like my Vette better than my Girlfriend and she knows it .

Looks like certain people think that a car is just another appliance. These are the ones that just care about getting from point A to point B in the most economical way possible. Doesn't matter how butt ugly their ride is (did somebody say Honda Element?). And that's just fine with me.
But it irks me that they want to put down people that have a strong enough interest in fine cars to spend significant money on them. For some of us, the Corvette is like a hobby...instead of spending thousands on a model railroad, for example, I take that money and spend it on my car. At least my car is arguably a more sensible "hobby" because it is my transportation as well.
