Ok, I just want y'alls opinnions, and then also some info. Im going to post a pic to show you how my car sits now. I personally want it to be lower in the front, and a lil in the back. Just post up comments, and also any links to how to lower the car.
For the back (again, assuming you've already loosened the nuts as much as possible), I'd recommend getting longer grade 8 bolts....1/2" x 6.5" should suffice. No need to cut the rear bushings.
Well...the plans for the car include some new chrome 18x12 Z06 wheels, and then 18x9.5's up front. I want the rear to look nice and slammed with those wheels on, and Ive always thought the front needed to be lowered some anyways. Im not sure how low it is as of now, and not sure how it was done, bought the car from a guy, he didnt say. Anyways, thanks for the comments guys!
Here's my .02. I have read where members went back to original height after lowering as far as the stock bolts would take. Before you start cutting front bushings, drive around the way your car is now for awhile and take note to the small inconveniences of lowered cars (servicing them, pavement contact depending on where you live, shock adjustemnts etc)
If you can find people who can service cars lower than what your car is now (or if you do it yourself ) and you endure other little issues, then go for it.
Car really looks great Yes, it does need to be lower int the front. My 99 wouldn't get low enough for me on stock bolts so I removed my front bolts and shaved 1/3 off the rear Car rides just fine and has been for almost a year now
DAYYYYYUUM TKTGTR as Ive told you before, incredible looking car! I sent you a PM asking you how you lowered it, but I deleted it before I got my car. I really like how your sits, I want mine somewhere around there!
