I just bought these from someone on the forum. They are ones with the emblems on top. How in the hell do you install these? I bought them used and they didn't come with instructions. I was hoping someone on the forum could help me out....I am planning on putting them on a 00 Coupe...thanks.
I will have to take some pictures...not sure, but I see them in MID AMERICA MOTORSPORTS for $199....they are the only ones that have the emblems on top of all 4 tips....
If they are like the stock tips that fit snugly over the pipes they can be attached with epoxy. I had stock tips held on that way for almost 2 years with no problem.
Supposedly they are an easy bolt on installation...I will keep working on it...just hoped someone had the same ones I am talking about and could give me some tips, so to speak...
I had these same tips before I swapped out the entire exhaust. It is pretty easy. You should have the two sets of the tips plus two sets of brackets that kind of look like handcuffs. The brackets are in 2 pieces. Place those over the tips and locked down tight. Once those are in position and tight, you can line the tips up to the brakets over the existing exhaust and tighten those down to them. Once on, just alight by loosening the brackets or tips as necessary until straight.
Thanks Thunder 7....When they came in the brackets were tightened to the chrome tips pretty tight. I think the previous owner had them on wrong. He had the bolts that hold the brackets tightened from INSIDE the CHROME TIPS. I couldn't figure out how the hell to tighten them once I got the Chrome tips on the car. I might just reverse the bolts to tighten from outside the brackets.....Not sure if that makes sense, but I was completely confused trying to figure out how to bolt these on.
So, it sounds like you mount the brackets first, then mount the chrome tips.
