Buyers and Seller Beware! Bad deal!!!!
Word of advice from someone that had an extremely bad experience with a Corvette reseller in Hurst, Texas. This is my story…..
In April of this year, I took my completely restored 1976 Corvette to Cool Autos in Hurst Texas after a couple of good recommendations of fellow Corvette Club members. I agreed to a minimum selling price and signed a consignment contract, then left the car.
I checked on it from time to time. In the middle of May, the car was stolen by someone using a false identity and this dealership let the buyer take my car home with dealer tags with the agreement to return the next day to get the title (from me) and finish the paperwork. I was not told of any of this until about 1 June when the Grand Prairie Police department called me and told me my car was reported stolen and he had arrested one of the people involved. The owner of Cool Autos never called me and didn’t tell me anything until I confronted him. The whole thing was a very shady deal . The police suspected the partner to be in on it, but it was never proven. Anyway after much discussion the dealers agreed to pay the difference between the asking price and the amount my insurance would pay. My insurance settled about two months ago and I’ve ask them over and over when I was going to get the rest of the money they had agreed to pay me. Finally, the partner told me that the owner considered I was paid in full since my insurance had paid about 75% of what the asking price was! They never intended to make good on the deal they shook my hand over! My advice: Stay Away from this Dealer!!!! Buying or selling!!! They have no integrity!!!!!!!!!!! : :
Sounds like someone should get a lawyer and hang the PARTNER by the *****. Sorry for your troubles. It is still a very cruel and untrusting world. Good luck!
Get an attorney and show up at the front door. Shady guys like that will do anything to keep away from the legal system. He'll realize you mean business. And if he pushes his luck, stick the legal system to him
Sorry to hear this ...
I would follow the advice of the others and get an attorney. If the initial confrontation doesn't work, go to court. Pretty sure you'll come out on top.

Based on a 1988 Corvette Coupe purchase I made at this guy's previous dealership and since he had let us use his previous dealership facility for our monthly Corvette Club meetings I recommended him to Richard and I sure feel badly for doing that now!
I definitely will be spreading the word that he is now apparently a crook and cannot be trused in the Corvette community.
