Just installed a set of Z06 wheels on a 2004 Coupe. Used tape on weights all on the inside of wheels. Is it common to have a little vibration at 80 to 100 mph? It is my understanding that this is common with all the weight to the inside of the wheel and also the fact that they are after market wheels. Is this true, or do I need to have rebalanced? Thoughts and comments are appreciated.
Need to have them re-balanced....take them to someone who can RoadForce balance them....if the vibration doesn't go away you may have to spin the tire on the rim and rebalance...
oh yeah...make them strip the existing weights and start from scratch...

I think its also known as On-Car-Balancing. I'm looking for someone who could do, not becasuse I have a balancing problem at 70-80 but because I Roadrace the car and on the straights I'm around 145.

actually its a bit different...the only reason I know about this problem is that fellow forum member Snake Slayer went thru this for 2 weeks....it was maddening....finally had them spin the tire on the rim and the problem was solved....good luck.

you are right. I just re-read "force balance". I didnt pay attention. On car balancing is the best way to go - but its expensive and they are tough to find. Had it done on my C4 many years ago but the shop is no longer there.

I had the same problem and re-balancing on Hunter equipment with road force balancing got rid of it.
