no wheel lock nut
I have a 98 Corvette that I purchased used.I was attempting to take a wheel off for the first time: looked in the owners mannual;it stated that I had to use a wheel lock nut removal tool that was in the car under the rear storage compartment.I found where it was suppose to be;in a small indentation under the panel;but it is gone.I thought about contacting the previous owner but I am sure it is long gone.The owners mannual states that it has serial # that matchs the car and so forth.Any ideas on how to get a new one?I have never seen one so I really don"t know what it even looks like.Also it has alloy rims;don't know if that makes a difference

The dealer should have a set of lock nuts to do the removal and they will be able to tell you which key it is.

I had the same problem when I first got my vehicle. Dealer had a box full of locks. Kept trying till they found the one that fit. If they don't have one, they can order you one or can get the wheel lock off for you.....

Check the paperwork you got with the car. There should have been a card that has your lock number on it and an address to write for a replacement key. If you do not have that card, a dealer may be able to help you out. Good luck.
