Hoodliners
I've seen many threads about hoodliners and have wondered about their longevity. I would like to put one on my 03 MY vert, but am leery as it is an everyday driver since our 2nd car is a 93 Ruby vert (see sig). Do these hoodliners stand up to the heat etc from the engine? Also, if I used it only for shows etc, would the holddowns/pins (or whatever they are called) hold up to the removal and reuse? Thanks for any imput
Mine held up fine.
The push in retainer pins won't last long taking them in and out. But there only 25 cents at the dealer. I'm sure somebody has them cheaper.
GO for it!

Hoodline
I have a hoodline which was painted by paula who is one of the verdors on here .Here is her e-mail if you would like to see her work.[url]HTTP://community.webshots.com/user/paulasartwork. name is Paula Hambrick-1-972-771-6022.Her email address is,paula75032@sglobal.net.
You can find the replacement hood liner retainer pins at most any auto parts store and are fairly reasonably priced. The ones I bought have a different style clip that holds it in. These new ones are a lot easier to install and remove than the factory ones were. You can remove them by simply pulling out by hand, no special tool is needed for removal.
Only takes me a couple of minutes to remove/ install liner.

I have an 03 and i haven't had any problems taking the liner out to replace it with the new painted one i got from paula i just turned each one by hand a little and pulled it out very easy to do. Someone on here was talking about chrome ones i bet those would be really nice to have.

They last fairly well, but if you get a lot of dirt or water on them, they can be a little tricky to clean. I used to wipe mine down when I cleaned the car so nothing built up on the liner.

Wow, I need to start shopping where you shop. I just paid $1.49 each for the plastic hood liner pins at the local dealer.
