Default lowering a z06

i picked up the word somewhere along the way that the fe-4 suspension is adjustable. if i was told the truth i want to know two things.

1. how much can it be lowered

2. how would i do so ( i have experience with other cars, i just want to know if id need a special tools, where the adjustment screw, nut or whatever is located and just any informantion about it anyone can give me)

thanks.

Do a search on lowering. You'll find more info then you can read. I have a few good links, but I'm not at my home computer right now. I'll try to post them later. It's an easy mod, with some new bolts and cutting the stock bushings you can get about 2 inches. I just did mine this past week.

Here's the front...

Need longer bolts for the rear. I put 6 1/2 bolts in the rear and left 3/4" showing and it matched up to the cur bushings in the front end.

The search button is your friend - you'll find lots of threads!

I strongly suggest you lower on the stock bolts only and see how you like it.
After a week or so if that is not low enough get the longer rear bolts and cut the front bushings.
Do not forget to have the alignment checked.

Hi kcross -

Try this recent thread...

I regret not having lowered my Z earlier - but I only went to the stock limits. Just right, IMO.

best regards-

i was watching the video that come with the Z today and they were saying not to lower the car more than 15mm thats about 1/2 an inch. as it would not handle at it's best.
