From: HOW FAST WAS I GOING OFFICER? Los Angeles Hating GM Dealership Service Dept.'s Since Sept. 2004

I know it's late and I had a couple of drinks, but I thought I'd look anyway ... nope. Just another person asking about oxymorons. Oh wait ... I know a reliable dealership ... It's in the same city where Bigfoot bought his Suburban ... and the Lochness Monster got her RV. If you follow the yellow brick road, it'll lead you right to the most reliable GM dealership ever!
Finding a reputable GM dealer / service department is like trying to find a virgin in a whorehouse. There might be one in Kansas but who really wants to go there to find out?
There are some reliable dealers/service departments and some that will be very honest with you about design flaws and recurrent problems. Unfortunately, you have to do a lot of work to find them in many areas of the country. If you don't get a suitable reply to this thread, try contacting your area's corvette club. I don't know if Hartford has one.
I grew up in Bloomfield and remember there being several chevy dealerships in the region. I've found that the more dealerships a region has, the more likely you are to have at least one reputable service department.
