tick tick tack tack... help

anyway, it's not just a "tick" but it's almost like a tick/knock/thump/tack/SNAP...damn, my engRish sux and i can't explain. well, it sounds like this, "tho tho thock thock..." 
what is it? how can i fix it? HELP!!!

John, I bought a high speed polisher. Bring your car by the house when you get a chance, we'll get the scratches out and I'm EOD trained.
