Title says it all. I'm thinking about changing my plain-jane shift ****. How do u like your aftermarket ones? Any PITA stuff about the ***** I need to look out for? Plz specify where u purchased yours.
Like it a lot, but it takes a little getting use to. Gets very warm in the summer, but cools down fast. It's fully adjustable and lets you raise or lower it to work with the solenoid. Only thing I don't like about it is that it moves (clockwise and counter clockwise) just a little, I'm going to pull it off make sure the mounting pin holes are lined up and then superglue the threads.
There are a number of after market shift ***** that look nice. I tried to order the walnut one from Mid-America about a year ago and they were out of stock. I did see a very nice one on the Crutchfield site. It has programable buttons to control the stereo - assuming the stereo has infrared controls.

Thanks!
Yes, I have been looking for one too, but I really want a T-handled one, but have had no luck finding one.

I don't know exactly how it works but it seems very simple.
The big black piece act like the shifter button and the 6-spd shifter attachs to the plunger. So to change the gears just push down on the shifter.
I have this shift handle installed.
I bought a CAU shift adapter, had it cut down a little, then had the shift **** drilled and tapped to fit. I had it powdercoated black afterwords. I can take pics tomorrow.
