Higher Octane Fuel

What octane fuel are you running in your Z06?? I live in the Sacramento area and the highest octane rating i can find at the pump is 91.

In 1970, when they were starting to outlaw lead, I bought an old 25,000 gallon tanker full of Chevron Custom Supreme (leaded 105 octane) for 19 cents per gallon.

Since then I've used up about half. I heard it might be bad for the cats.

I use 93 octane at Amoco or Shell

You can either find a 76 station that sells 100 octane or you can buy Torco. I have a race engine with a Supercharger so I am running straight up 100 unleaded.

I use 91/92 for street and road course driving. That's for a bone stock motor.

I use only 93 octane Amoco. Used it in all of my Vette's so far and refuse to use anything else. I would only cahnge if I coule finde the old Sunoco 104.
