2000 Model quirk?
I'm looking at C5s and need to know if something I'm hearing is typical -
Passenger side wind noise. I haven't noticed it on the 01s and 02s but every 00 I have driven has it. Looks like the weatherstrip is the same but the windows don't seem to seal as well.
Was this something addressed in newer models or am I just finding bad examples of 2000s?
Anything else I need to look for between 2000-02s?
I just bought an '02 M.Y. six speed convertible in July and before buying I did alot of research to find out what differences are in the '01's and later. The '01's got an improved easier to operate clutch, new convertible top, improved active handling. I can't remember the other changes but I am sure there are people who can tell you other improvements. As a result of my research I completely struck the '00 off my list of possible models to purchase. Good luck in your search!
I have passenger side wind noise on my '04 so it's not something that's been "fixed" on later years. I had it on my '00 also and had it in to the dealer a couple of times to fix it with very little improvement. These are both verts.
