With our last child who lives with us leaving for Parris Island this winter, my wife is getting the itch for us to get a different type of RV so we can visit grandkids on weekends next year. I discovered that GMC is ruining (imho) the 2005 Sierra Denali pickup by going from an extended cab to a crewcab, losing a foot of bed length, and dropping Quadrasteer all-wheel steering. I casually mentioned to a buddy at work that I was thinking about selling the vette and getting an '04 Sierra Denali if I still could. He said he always liked my car but was waiting for the '05 Mustang. The next day I offered him a ride and he agreed, but insisted that I drive. He said he would talk to his bank. The next day he called from his bank, confirmed my asking price, and said he'd see me in a few minutes with a check.
This weekend, I'm getting all the original parts together and writing up a care-and-feeding guide for him. Delivery will be Tuesday, when he can get a ride to work. My GMC dealer said he located a Denali and should have it here on Monday. I've got my fingers crossed - it should always go this easy. One of my points in the care-and-feeding guide will be to join CF.
