I saw somewhere chrome inserts for under the hood when you remove the hood liner. Has anyone done this and do you have pics? Is the underside painted nice to display and what do you do with the fasteners that hold the liner? Is the car noisier withou the liner and will it effect the hood paint on the oiutside?
The underside of the hood looks rough. To take off liner work 2 fingers from each hand under the edges of each plastic fastener and pull strait out. They are reuseable. May drive without and judge for yourself about noise. Some home improvement stores sell plastic mirrored stuff that you could cut to fit your needs. Or use polished stainless. Express your self

Driving without the liner should not harm the paint. Mine has been driven for over two years without it with no damage. Not sure where you could get any chrome inserts for under the hood.
