Wow, I have it bad. I have a bone stock (Except for a Vararam) '02. Z06 When shifting from 1 to 2, lookout, feels like the pass side rear tire is about to fly off. Pass side only. The car is lowered 1" with the longer bolts in the back. Sugestions????
Posible solutions: HAL-QA-1's on 12?, raise the car??, bad Alignment??? Do the '04 Z people have this problem? I was thinking about upgrading to that shock/strut design.
You can look at Dyno Tech Engineering's website - www.dynotech-eng.com - to find the Differential Strut. Give them a call and discuss its use and installation.

Are you power shifting? If so,just don't do it on the 1-2 shift (if you're on street tires). I had the same thing & once I didn't power shift 1-2, I eliminated the wheel hop. Now I'll only powershift if I think a personal best is possible.
I have an 04 Z06 and have never had wheel hop no matter how hard of a 1-2 shift I have done on any surface.
I read an article on the 04 Z06 that said GM spent a great deal of time refining the shocks for the 04 over in Germany. They wanted the C5 to go out with a bang. I have driven other Z06 Vettes and there is a difference. It is especially notable on rough pavement or dips. The rear end does not dance.
You can buy 04 shocks for around $300 from GMPartsDirect.
Mine wheel hops any time the wheels spin. I did have the wheel alignment done, no help. I got Drag radials, I can still spin them if I try and the car still wheel hops with them when the wheels spin.
