I have an automatic and the button on the shifter seems to stick when I try to move it out of park. It doesn't seem to want to catch so it won't let it release. Has anyone had this? Any suggestions?

Try a little silicone lube on the sides of the button.
Excuse me if this too simple but are you putting your foot on the brake before to release it?
Yes, I press the brake and the button won't go in. When it finally does it clicks. It's really hard to push the button in. It wasn't always like this it just started lately. Once the button goes in there's no problem with the shifting (like reverse etc.).

Also make sure the shifter is as far forward (in Park) as it can go,
Ask Patches for the repair process from the SM. I'm not sure if the trigger is electronic or mechanical. It must not be releasing with the brake pedal.
