Ignition on, car not running. Go to oil life % display on the dic and depress the gas pedal to the floor 4 times.

Make sure that the ignition is "ON" and the engine is "OFF".

For my 1999, key on, depress gas pedal 3 times. Doesn't matter what DIC is showing on mine.

I hold my reset button down until the _ _ _% disappears and is replaced with the 100% indicator.

Same for my 2000.
No need to hit the gas pedal, just the reset button.

I think BOTH ways will work. Gas pedal or reset button. Reset button is a little quicker.

i tried that way and for some reason it wouldnt work on my car. i ended up just leaving it because it wouldnt change. then i got the "change oil" message. still couldnt get it to go to 100%.
then one day while driving, i pressed the "reset" and held it down, and it went to 100%!!!
so just something to try. hope this helped.
