What looks like a simple operation is not working. I removed both metal bands, the back came off, but the front won't move. I have tried twisting the bridge with no luck. Am I missing something here?
The airbridge is mounted to the radiator cover using two rubber grommets atop a plastic pin. Disconnect the airbridge and lift straight up (toward the hood) on it but be careful that the grommets don't pop off and land in the engine compt. Good luck!
I believe that there are 2 rubber grommets on the front of the stock air box as well. I seem to remember transferring them to the Blackwing.
If you reach in through the opening in front between the hood and the front facia and lift upward on the stock air box (it may take a little force) you can get it loose. Also be careful that these don't fall off, as mentioned about the grommets on top in the previous post.
Go to the front of the car and reach inbetween the hood and front facia and push the air box back and up toward the windshield ,and it will come off. There are two rubber grommets that hold it to the bottom of the facia. Also you can reach in and down and feel the grommets and can pop them.off the pins
