Default Looking for shift ****

I cut my stock shifter down and threaded it down to the damper. I put a billiard ball style **** on it. The **** i have has a collar and jam nut. The collar and nut add about 1" to the overall height. Does anyone sell a billiard ball type shift **** with the proper thread pattern without the collar? I could lower the overall height of my shifter by an additional inch. The '63 **** has no collar but the thread pattern is wrong. Any help much appreciated.

thanks

I just installed a flameball, but they have solid options as well (inc. a yellow ball). Check out www.flameball.com. Mine has the correct threads, screws all the way down, and looks great. It does not have the thread pattern on it, but you might be able to get them to add that (most likely an additional cost).

See the pic on the left. It's the ball from a '78. Stock threads, fits
right on. The T-toggle isnt functional, but I think it looks "retro"cool.
You can just use the ball, if you want. Got it from ZIPS, only a few bucks.

I guess I've been under a rock... I've never seen those lighted flame ***** before!! They are awesome. How does the lighting work? I have an automatic, and I see they are available for automatics. I assume you fish the wire through the shifter handle?

I upgraded to the LED light. I wired it into the light at the traction control button. You tap into the brown wire for your ground and I think it was a red wire for the power. Really easy to do and it looks awesome during the day and even better at night.

I'm not sure. When I ordered my flameball, I marked for the Corvette threads. It runs an extra $ 4.00 for it to be exact for the Corvette from Flameball.
