CLB and CL Recall

can someone answer this question?
My 2000 Coupe MN6 has not had the recall performed or CLB installed yet (I order the CLB earlier this week). Can I avoid having the recall completed if I install the CLB?

Do the recall and then immediately (like have the wife waiting in the garage with the tools and CLB in hand) install the CLB before you wind up like all the others....stranded with a dead car. Understand the recall does NOT fix the problem but it is good to let the dealer do his computer thing before you install the CLB.

I asked this in another thread but really didn't get an answer.
I've got the A4.
If I want the dealer to do the recall...do I really need to remove the CLB first? Or do ya think they could do it while doing their thing?
I put the CLB in but I'm not sure if by seeing it the tech would become like a deer in the headlights and not do the recall.

Do the recall, then install the CLB. That way you are covered. If you already have the CLB and have not done the recall, I have heard others say the dealer will remove the CLB and then perform the recall. The dealer did not reinstall the CLB when finished.
