I've found that really nice silk ties work well too, for small water spots or finger prints...

Last Saturday I was asked to drive my brother-in-law's bride to an outdoor wedding. After we pulled up in view of everybody, one of the ushers left a fingerprint on the door while he was opening it for the bride.

After I pointed it out to him, he actually tried to wipe it off with his shirt, but I told him to not worry about it...possible scratches and all.
After all, this was the bride's day, right?

Maybe I should have stopped everything while I reached for my Speed Shine and soft rags to clean the spot off...

True, but it makes it easier to see if they did anything to her while she is back in the pits of hell.

Always prepared for those occassional unavoidable insect splatterings, bird droppings etc. Spring water and Bounty towels work fine too, they are very soft when wet and disposable when necessary. Then go over the area with the spray detailer and microfiber towels.
Seems normal to me.

If your kid has a dirty face, you wipe it off. For some people, their cars are their kids ... don't feel weird.

I recently taught my wife how to close the doors! I don't let anybody else close the doors, unless they've been taught the proper method. As I explained to the wife, "You open the door using the underside of the handle, right? Well, just use the same side of the handle to close it! No prints, no need to wipe off using "unqualified" methods!"

****??? NAWWWW!!!

I know this is off topic, but are your calipers painted or power coated?

I washed and waxed the baby this evening for it's upcoming journey to the dealer tomorrow. Well, I get to work tonight, and what do I see? Acckkkk!!! A water spot on the trunk. Well, I didn't have any towels w/me in the trunk, so I gently took my elbow and forearm and buffed it out.

At least it wasn't an expensive dress shirt. Just one of those Van Huesen (sp?) Sears shirts...lol
I hope that shirt was 100% cotton.
