Entered "runflat" into the search option and I got back every thread that mentions runflat so that did not do the trick.
Just passed 24,000 and it is time for some new meat. I want to stay with runflats and stock sizes. So what do you like? Checked out "Tire Rack" and read some reviews but I would like to hear from some forum members. Thanks
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Zero Pressure is the only way to go. They are quiet and smooth, rank high in all categories, and are all season tires. The C5 feels like a totally different car with Michelins versus GY EMTs.
Michelins are also cheaper that GYs.
Everyone claimed not to have it in stock, including Tire Rack. I was going to get Kumho RFs, but America's Tire Store came through - their on the car price with 8% tax was about the same as online prices with shipping.
How many miles so far, I heard from a few people that Kuhmo's dont last either
6,000 hard(ish) miles with the z06 suspension. I honestly don't expect to get 30,000, 40,000, or really even 25,000 miles from them. These are performance tires. I always felt lucky getting 15,000 miles out of my tires on my Mustangs and Camaros. I drive hard when I drive, and won't settle for all season tires, or hard compounds that get high mileage. Although, I will admit that I live and work in California and therefore the weather and disposable income is most likey on my side. YMMV.

I've run all these but the Kumho's. Michelin gets my vote, just replaced my fronts at 24k, rears still have a lot of tread left, will more than likely get 30k out of the rears.

I bought a rear set of Yokohama AVS sport run flats OEm sizes to see how they were.........liked them but went with new non-RF yokos AVS sports
I did many hours of research and finally decided on the Zero Pressure Pilot Sports. At this point, and 3000 miles later, they appear to be the perfect tire for all situations. I hear many reasons for not installing run-flats, but to me, quiet ride, firm handling and peace of mind are the ultimate tributes to this tire. The price was approx. $1100 installed.
I have a 00 vert 6 spd. @ 35K I had to buy new tires. I did all kinds of homework. I go to Indy for the F1 race. stopped by the Miklen tent. Was approached by a young lady. I wanted to know about Zero pressure tires. Seems like she was the teck rep for Canada... SHARP lady. Told me that the GY's were SUMMER only rated. That the Miklens were all season rated. Not in Canada maybe but still all season.
Found Tire rack offered them. Better price than any where else. Couldn't find anyone who had the special machine needed to mount stiff sidewall run flats. Called Tire Rack, they said why don't you come down to South Bend to have them put on? I bit. WONDERFUL experience.
Was welcomed to the plant. Young kids. They never put a wrench wrong. They even torqued the wheel lugs!
Tires are great. Softer side wall. Turn in much softer... Very sticky.
Much queiter.. Have 2000 miles on them now. Would I do it again?.... IN A HEARTBEAT!
ZOOOM
Michelin Pilot Sport non runflats. Just a note our Chev dealership in Green Bay, Wi. will match any same tire price from independent dealers. I believe this is A GM sponsered promotion to promote business or so I was led to believe. $1140 installed, including tax, plus I sold my old run craps. To add, no damage by the dealership!
