Default GHL Exhaust:

Which GHL's have the low rumble sound--Bullets? Magnums? Are the Bullets like the Corsa Touring or like the B&B Bullets? You all are selling me on these GHL's if they have that 60's rumble! I will be putting on header also and I hope not to aggravate the neighbors and my passengers.

They all have the nice 60's rumble. For zero resonance, go with the bullets (6 inch cans) or Magnum Plus (6 inch cans but cat back is unpolished and only comes in 2-tip, more economical). Magnums (5 inch cans) have some to no resonance. Don't listen to me though cause I am getting ready to order them soon. Base my info on past posts and info passed on by Brian or Jeff at GHL.

Thank you Jim.
The size of the muffler cans is the determining factor concerning interior resonance. The Bullet series is offered with quad tips that we manufacture by hand. The Magnum plus, 6 in cans, is offered in the 2 tips version using tips that we purchase which allows for the more economic price. Both systems are fully polished.

This is the last day of the Bullet sale.
$820 for the 3 1/2 inch Round Rolled or BullsEye Tips
$845 for the 4 inch Round Rolled Tips

Magnum Plus $610
Ground shipping is included

I bought the 2 tip version from Brian and had JJ install it for me at the GHL factory. Great people and a very fair price. I would highly recommend the GHL systems for both quality and sound. My vette sounds SOOOO much better. Much more like the 60's muscle cars.

By-the-way, money wasn't the issue, I wanted something different than most vettes so I had the two tips installed. A nice change IMHO.

You will not go wrong with GHL. If you want a bit more sound go with the 5" cans, if you want a little extra protection from droan, go with the 6".

Good luck...

These are my 3.5 inch Bullets. Very nice finish and the fit was perfect.

I'd wait and do the headers first and then guage how loud it will be.

I have TPIS Long Tube headers with Random Technology pipes with built in X pipe & the high flow cats with my GHL Bulletts, and EVERYONE who hears my car tells me they have NEVER heard a better sounding car in their LIFE!

Yes...The Magnum series is a tad louder than the Bullet series.

With the Magnums how annoying is the resonance? I have aconvertible so I am only worried about it 1/2 the time.

I have the GHL Bullets w/ 4" round quad tips from LAPD. Love the look of those cannons: http://www.thelapd.com/Merchant2/mer...e_Code=thelapd

The Bullets are totally quiet with Highway cruising, have a decent deep, throaty idle and exotic/muscle car WOT. I would have preferred a slightly louder sound, but understand that when I add LT Headers, they will be perfect. I didn't want loud and obnoxious either. The GHLs are how the Vette should sound, in my humble opinion. Would definitely recommend the GHLs. I also installed the Magnflow X-Pipe.

Hal....this is a tough one...It's is a matter of personal preference as sound is subjective. While one person may not have a problem..or even notice the resonance...another may be too sensative.

I've seen Aerosmith, Van Halen, AC/DC, Judas Priest and Tesla in my younger days...I don't hear any resonance.

Then again..it could also be because of the loud pipes on my Harley....
