I've tried a search but got no help with the GM Bra installation. I'm sure there posts on this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The instructions are pretty bad. The small hood piece goes on but I can't get the two inner cords to reach the suggested insulation retainer points. The outer ones are okay. Also need to know where the long snap fasters (got them from a forum member) go, under the nose or along the fenders. Thanks.

I never used the two inner straps on the small hood piece of the bra. It did not flap at all with those loose. The snap fasteners go both under the front fascia (three of them) and along the fender well (two on each side). On the fender well, one goes in the top screw hole and one in the bottom. In the fender wells are were the small rubber grommet goes also, but if you use some marine snaps, you can forget about the grommet. I know it looks complicated, but once you see where things go, it really is pretty easy. Good luck on the install.

the instructions that come with the bra are worthless. look at the toolbar in the forum and choose "other". then go to c5 "tech tips". scroll down to "installing a gm bra", print the instructions (pics included) and you'll knock out the install in no time.
good luck
by the way - those 2 loops under the hood will reach. you have to pull like hell and trust you're not going to break anything and the snap fasteners go under the fender and under the fascia. you'll see!

Thanks folks. I should be able to get it squared away on Friday. I'm taking the car on a 200 mile and want a little extra protection for the nose while on the highway.
The easiest way to hook the two inner hood loops is to remove the clips that hold the insulation to the hood, put them through the loops, & plug 'em back in. Eventually, they may wear out & not seat properly, so next time you're at the Chevy store get some spare clips.
You can also use my technique - catch the loop with the edge of a flat-bladed screwdriver, stretch it up over the top edge of the clip, rotate the screwdriver so you can pry the clip open a little, & then poke the loop back behind the clip.
You are right the instructions are not very clear.
The lower loops are tough to get over the fasteners. I use a small hook tool from my pick set and with it I can streach them over the fasteners.
It works well for removal also.
The rest of the bra goes on quite easy especially if it's warm out side.
I think it fits real well and it is offered at a good price.
