Default Oil Additive Question?

I just had my first oil change today, and I have a quick question. I have added ProLong Engine Treatment in my truck for about 3 years but I am not sure on the vette. What is the opinion of the people here on the forum, oil additive or not?

Gotta say stay away from additives. Mobil One is all you need. Just be sure and change it once a year or sooner if you're racking up the miles. Just changed mine with only 2,600 miles on it but it was nearly a year since the previous change. The DIC showed about 70% oil life remaining but it was time for fresh Mobil One.

Absolutely NOT! I've read that the active ingredient in that stuff is nothing but Teflon and teflon has no place in an automotive engine.

Try using Red Line oil instead. You won't need any additives.

With quality oil like Mobile-1, I don't believe any thing additional will make any difference. I would not add anything. Sid.
