The seats in my 2000 vert are looking pretty bad. Lots of cracking and starting to wear thin in some spots. I have been using a leather treatment product to keep them from getting any worse. Refering to the dealer window sticker, what does, leather trimmed seating area mean? Sounds like GM double talk. What are these seats covered with? Has anyone replaced their seats?
Leather trim means that the seating surfaces are leather. The outside trim pieces are vinyl. This was done to reduce the wear on the back outside piece that was being worn out by getting in/out.

Vette Essentials are a supporting vendor and make the best seat cover available, IMO. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Excellent customer service also.

Only where you place you rear and back are leather. The rest is vinyl. If you want the best seats, contact Ken King at Vette Essentials. I will attest to the quality and workmanship of his products.
VetteEssentials is price, but these are gonna be the first and last set of REAL LEATHER SEATS you will buy.... Had mine for 2 1/2 years now, and they still look as new as the day I installed them
