I'm located in Spring Hill, Florida. Which is 20 minutes from Tampa.

I was wondering who on this forum is from Florida-Tampa/Spring Hill/St. Pete/Clearwater

Or anywhere else Local within the Bay Area.

Maybe we can set up some kind of meet of some sort.

We have a loose band of forum members in the Tampa, Orlando, Ft Myers and Miami areas....collectively known as the Misfits

Shoot me an email and I'll get you added to the list....I've had car woes for several months and it's been difficult to keep the fires burning but I hope to be back in the saddle soon and pushing events again

Just a loose band of club and internet members in the area. We try to attend race and show events together, lunches, etc

No politics, club presidents, etc

Lunches? Nobody told me about lunches?! When are these so called lunches? Damn it Mark you know I am fat and need substance...I want to know about these lunches! Seriously there are a bunch of really cool cool guys in Tampa area. When we do get together it is a good time.

 

Yeah, we need a "Gawk and Talk" soon! BTW Mark, what's been up with your turbo vert? I've been dealing with our kitchen renovation and haven't been here much.

 

Orlando UCF Area Z06 here.....

Been looking for a vette club but haven't really heard about one yet. I know a couple of Z06 owners in Orlando....maybe we should meet at the track one night or something...

As mentioned earlier, there are also the "Misfits", that are an informal group of Forum members from Central Florida (mostly Tampa I think).

There is a show at Silver Springs on 11/6 you might consider. Supposed to be a good time to meet Corvette folks, too.

Stuzvette is out and about most Wed and Thurs nights...in winter park oviedo area...

Most clubs, including mine, are eat and meet...
...many, including mine, are organized to assist under privileged, needy, and indigents in the community as well as specific social issues including offering financial assistance and awareness of cancer and other illnesses...
...soooo...I dont have anything against clubs or supporting such causes...and I will...
...but I am not a very good clubber...I am a pretty good cruiser...
There are a number of vette lovers among the Florida Crew that love to cruise and most times able to drop everything in pretty short notice to join up with a Florida Crews-in...
...I have had many a Saturday cruise to Ecklers (Titusville) and then to Cocoa Beach or Daytona Beach and then home again...
I have even been on the beach with Stuzvette 2 times
We have had 1 or 2 or 25 folks just cruise out to meet up because we can...
Shows are fun...and a whole lot of work! ...soooo I am limiting serious shows to 2 per year at Ecklers...
I limiting shows to cruise...the prettiest days are missed sitting in a lot...
I am all for cruising in and out to show-off...and being able to know where, especially vetters, are showing off...

I say all this to say that I have great relationships with guys and gals all over florida and the topic of "the club" doesnt come up...
...but we cruise together anyway...email me when your cruising and Ill do the same...
