Ive had a small rear end leak since about the the first month I got MY MY 2004. And after all the horror stories I was scared to death to take it to the dealer. I was willing to put up with the leak until I had to take her in for some thing I couldnt live with. Well I got the control arm washer recall and thought I should at that point get things taken care of. I was told to call Rosalie at Bob Stall Chevrolet by some of the forum members. First thing she said was axel seal so I knew she had some experience with Corvettes. I told her it wasnt the axel seal as I had been under the car many times and couldnt find where it was coming from. She told me not to worry the mechs. would figure it out and bring the car in around 7 - 8 monday morning to get it done the quickest. I got there right around 8 and was about 5th in line she took my baby immediately back to the garage even before asking me any questions then she typed the problems in the computer. She called early the next morning to say it was done. And they had to R & R the differential and replace a seal " not a small job". When I picked the car up I noticed a very small chip 1/32 to 1/64 on the edge of the door "cant be seen with door closed" like it had been opened into something she apologized and said she would get me some touch up and get her body shop to fix it. I figured I was lucky thats all that happened and told her just to give me some touch up I needed to have some on hand anyway. I didnt blow my cool or anything it really wasnt that bad. Well when I got home and pulled her in the garage I opened the door and noticed it came real close to some metal shelves in the garage and yes the chip lined up with the shelves so they hadnt done it after all. Rosalie called me twice the next day and left messages to come and get the bottle of touch up and told me if I had to touch up anything else she would get her shop to smooth it out. Nice lady very efficient and professional and she owns a Vette herself. They did put 1-2 miles on the car test driving it and no I didnt tell her that I had chipped the door. I feel a little guilty think I will call and tell her. Glad I didnt make a scene.
