Unless you were living under a rock, you would have heard we have had 2 huricanes within the last 3 weeks. One cat 1 and one Cat 3 that both hit the same spot. Moroso got pretty messed up and was shut done for some time. The Corvette Challenge was canceled again. Moroso is back up and running this weds. Just for your info, there are a lot of great/fast forum members here in florida.

Ummmm. The race is on 10/9 in St Augustine.

Eight of us sort of tore up some pavement in an industrial park yesterday on our way to a tour of the GM Parts Distribution Center.

That was neither a sanction event nor in any way legal. But if they're going to pave twisty roads out there, then let 3 Z06s and 5 C5s go crazy in there - well, boys will be boys.

 

That's a little harsh. If you had been able to follow the other threads involved, MyOwn69 is just funning with those of us in North Florida who are setting up an autocross event for next weekend.

Granted, the course has been rather under water for a while, but it is dried out now and we're ready to get our cars out for some fun.

 

I think you're just missing something. Check the post on CCM autocross practice day.

Humble apologies to those from Florida that have been under severe weather conditions and have been dealing with serious life-style issues and assumed that I was being disrespectful to your conditions.
I do follow the news (see posting several weeks ago regarding my wishes for your well-being) and do know that there have been life-altering problems in that particular part of the states.
I also frequent this particular site and have been following a certain group that has been active in some racing activities in a rather competitive but good natured way.
Therefore, to continue that certain comraderie that we've established in past exchanges, I did post this thread to find out how things have been developing with regards to the up-coming series of auto racing experiences.
I now realize that "USA-VET" - "RON H" - "Rattler 71" - "VetteSiNz"- "XCELER8 - and especially "Neablas" have taken offense to my posting regarding this upcoming event.
I am so sorry that the previously cited members have been so offended that they chose to label me as a "Jerk" (Ron H) or "dumb@ss" (Neablas) just for having some fun with some fellow forum members.
While I can understand the strain that the people from that area must certainly be under, I am rather offended by the viciousness of the responses from the previously mentioned members of this forum.
I thought this was a better site than that.
I am sorry that you were offended - I do not believe that my posting deserved that type of response.

 

This forum as many other forums with large amounts of people take things out of contenx. So, dont worry about it. It might help if you put a so people that might not read some of your older post so they know your kidding. Being here on this forum you have to have tough skin at times..Its all good.
