Default Memory Package????

I tried the Search but get a list of everyone who lists this option in their signature

As I research the C5 before I buy one, I keep coming across this option. What is this option? What does it do?

...and no, I cant RTFM!

thanks for the help!

It sounds like the seat/steering wheel position memory. It is matched to the key fob (#1 or #2) and can memorize the driver's seat position and the in/out position of the steering wheel. Should be RPO "AAB"

It keeps memory for the seat, outside mirrors, ac setting, and radio.

Hope that helps.

Up to 3 different people can use the memory package. Nice when you have more than one driver.

It gives you a little ride in the seat when you put the key in the ignition.

One of the best extras

Caution: I've heard of the motors in the seats burning out. What I do is dig my heals into the floor mats to "assist" the motors, rather than just sit there or resist.

Not only is the memory package a great extra but the sport seats that come with them are much more comfortable than stock seats

Good Luck! And Welcome!

Michael

Or just shut off the easy entry. That motor will blow with 200lbs on it

I have it on my '00 and like it. If only one person drives the car, it may not be needed.

I love it. It helps me from having to crawl out or bang my knees getting in and out of the car. A couple of knee operations and I'll take any relief I can get! I don't seem to have any problems with my Z, but my Tahoe is a pain in the ****. That thing has a memory of it's own. It seems to forget every few days where it was supposed to be and I have to constantly reset it. I guess I should have that looked at while it's under warranty, but don't have much faith that the general will be able to figure it out!
