Help!!! I tried to use some touch up paint on a rock chip on the top of my 04 CE Vert, along with some recommended stuff that you rub onto the touch-up paint blob to smooth it out. Tried it first on my wife's car, and it worked great. Tried it on my Vette, and it messed the paint up. Now I have a half inch long thread of touch up paint covering the chip area. AAAAAAH!!! Should have left the chip alone.
Anyone know of a great body shop in S. California that specializes in vette repair??? Please let me know.
Thanks.

If you put enough Langka and rub long enough, all the touch up paint should disappear. Then you can start from scratch. That's the best thing about Langka, you can try again and again until you get it perfect. Is Langka the blob remover you were using?

The philosophy behind Langka is it will remove any paint that is not applied at the factory.
Apparently, after-factory paint has a different drying agent and can be broken down and removed by Langka.
Factory paint will not be harmed.
Your hood must have been re-painted after it left the factory???

Thanks for your help folks. Where can I get this Langka stuff? And no, I used an imitation that was recommended by another dealership. I hope I have not ruined my vette's finish with the cheaper s_ _t that I was using. :o
