I was shining on my z06 over the weekend and found all kinds of rock chips all along the rocker panel and lower part of the door. It looks like a bead blaster went all along the bottom. It is all smooth when you rub your hand along it. It looks absolutly terrible and I had a couple people tell me I will have to repaint the whole car. The car is black and you can see the white fiberglass coming through.
I got caught on a 5 mile black top road where they had put oil down and then a fine sand over the top. It has been on the road for a couple of weeks and was just fine until it started raining. It seems the rain loosened up the sand and it must have acted like a sand blaster. I am going to go to a body shop and see what they can do.
Feeling pretty bad and had to let fellow vette owners know. Oh yea, the car has just turned over to 2500 miles.

Ouch. Real sorry about the damage. Most car owners wouldn't even have noticed it but as Vette owners, we can almost feel it when something nasty happens to our cars.
Guess that's the price of having one of the world's finest cars...

Don't think that you would have to repaint the entire car just for rock chips on the rocker panels and lower part of the doors. Chances are with only 2500 miles on the car, the paint has not faded and a good body shop should be able to just blend in on the doors. No need to paint the hood, fascias, etc. Good luck getting this fixed.
