Annoying problems with memory and easy entry system!
Argh its starting to **** me off.
I have the easy entry system turned off in my car because it didn't work all the time and it was starting to annoy me.
About a week ago the memory/easy entry system started acting up and its really starting to annoy me. Probably every other time I get out of my car, when I get back in, my seat is all the way back and up, even though the easy entry system is off (and I've turned it on and back off like 4 times just to be sure). It only does that every other time or so, sometimes 1 out of every 3 times.
Thats not the worst part though. The worst part is when I get in the car and turn it on, the seat stays all the way back. Not only that, but when I push memory 1, the seat doesn't move. I can push memory 2 and it will put the seat in the position for my fiance, but then I push memory 1 and the seat goes all the way back and up!!!
Now, I can eventually make it work if I manually move the seat all the way down then all the way foward, then push memory 1, sometimes it will go all the way back and all the way up, and sometimes it will go to the *correct* memory position - it's random.
Anyone know what the heck could be causing this? I have an 04 Z06 model by the way. Any help would be appreciated!
you must use the keyfob everytime you enter the car. Otherwise it has no idea who you are when you sit down and start the car. Also remember to do your settings, outside mirrors, radio, and ac with the key in the ignition. Now when all is well then push the memory button 1 or 2 or hold both down for a third person.
Now get out of the car. Lock the car with the key fob. Now open the car with the key fob, get in and put the key into the ignition. Everything should be just as you like it after you start the car.
I'll try everything again, however I've always set memory with the key in the ignition, and I also hit the unlock button on my keyfob every time before I get in the car, whether the doors are already locked or not, and it still has the problem
I've had the same stupid problems with my Tahoe. It's like the dumb thing forgets who I am at least once a week and I have to re-set it. I'll probably have it looked at under warranty when I take it in for an oil change this week. Frustrating ain't it

Sometimes the memory function certainly doesn't act like it has any memory. If you have tried to reprogram the system, you may just have to get it looked at. Good luck with fixing this.
