Newbie here,
First off I would like to thank everyone here for all of the valuable information, its nice to have such a valuable resource available 24/7. My question is about exhaust. I am only planning on doing the exhaust (for now) and keeping OEM crossover and headers. At this point I have no loyalty to any brand but I do have some concerns about resonance at lower RPMs and at cruising speeds. I have read here that CORSA is very good in these two areas yet has a nice aggressive tone. Any ideas sales etc..... Thanks again

This is a thing of taste, there are many cat-backs that are very similar. I chose borla. Find yourself a couple of vettes with different cat backs and see what you like. Some of their web sites also have sound clips so you can listen to their systems......Good luck....
I chose GHL, because after doing a couple seaches I found out that GhL makes a quality product with no resonance-I never got to hear the exhaust so I kinda bought it sight unseen,I made the right choice..I had many questions before I made my purchase adn brian at GHL was great-you just can't go wrong with a company that stands behind their work-as for the sound,I love that v-8 rumble, its not too loud, but most importanly NO resonance....best thing to do is go to a show and listen to the exhaust that other vettes have to hear what is right for you,but I promise you,you will not regret buying the GHL's-I have the 3 1/2 bullets(IMO)
My video from another thread, here's Corsas and Borlas on the same car, same day, same camera, though I have headers and Randoms: http://www.xstark.com/junk/exhausts.wmv

It's been said about one million times here - but you wouldn't know that as a newbie...
Go somewhere where the Vettes have gathered, and listen to several different systems - but not only at idle. Ask one of your fellow Vette owners to rev it up, and if they're feeling REAL generous, take you for a spin. Listen to the way at sounds at light take off, hard take off, cruising and WOT. After you've heard them for yourself, you'll be able to make an informed decision.
Everyone here is well meaning with their advce, but you HAVE to be the final judge.
For what it's worth (nothing! ) I have a Corsa Indy system with the X-pipe and I love it. Mean at WOT, like an Indy car, nice mellow burble like an old wooden boat with a big block at idle, and practically silent in 6th at 75mph - until you drop two gears and hammer it!
I purchased the GHL's earlier this year. While it made a big difference from stock, I was getting the infamous motor boat sound at idle and significant resonance at 70-75 mph. After reading several recommendations, I added the corsa crossovers. They also made a signifant difference. Got rid of the gurgling sound and reduced the resonance to acceptable levels. I'm still looking for the popular deep throaty sound everyone talks about. Perhaps a set of headers will get me there......
